AI Has Become the New iPhone vs. Android Debate

There was a time when people would ask, "Are you an iPhone or Android person?"
Today the question is...
"Wait... you still use ChatGPT? I switched to Claude." 😂
Or Gemini.
Or Grok.
Or whatever came out last Tuesday.
AI has become the newest tech flex.
I've actually caught myself in conversations where someone casually drops, "Oh, I use Claude now." Almost like they're saying they upgraded from economy to business class.
It made me laugh because we're creating social status around... chatbots.
A year ago most people hadn't touched AI.
Today we're debating which model writes better emails, which one codes faster, which one sounds more human, which one "thinks" better.
It reminds me so much of the iPhone versus Android era. Everyone suddenly became an expert overnight.
The funny part is, I don't think the real advantage comes from which AI you use.
It comes from how you use it.
Give the same prompt to ten people and you'll probably get ten completely different results. The person asking the questions is becoming just as important as the model answering them.
That's fascinating.
We're slowly shifting from Googling information to collaborating with intelligence.
And just like any colleague, different AI's have different personalities.
Some are better brainstormers.
Some are better editors.
Some are better at coding.
Some are surprisingly good therapists... although maybe don't tell your actual therapist that. 😂
I don't think we'll remember this era as "the AI race."
I think we'll remember it as the moment interacting with intelligence became a daily habit.
Just like we stopped saying, "I'm going to use the internet."
Eventually we'll stop saying, "I'm going to ask ChatGPT."
We'll simply ask.
The chatbot itself won't be the flex anymore.
What you'll build with it will be.
P.S. If someone tells me they use Claude instead of ChatGPT, I'll probably just ask what prompt they used. I have a feeling that's where the real secret sauce is. 😉
